Why we built it
Safety software generally comes in two kinds. There's the enterprise system that costs six figures, takes a year to implement, and gets used by the office while the field keeps using paper. And there's the cheap app that's really a form builder — you buy an empty container and then spend three months writing your own hazard library before it does anything for you. Neither one helps a superintendent standing at a tailgate at six in the morning with a crew waiting on him.
How we build
The test for everything is whether it works on a phone, in the cold, with gloves on, with no signal, faster than the paper it replaces. That's why the hazard library is stored on the phone itself, why the whole field app is seven buttons, and why nothing we ship needs a manual. The office side can be as detailed as a safety director wants, because he's sitting at a desk. The field side cannot be.
Small enough to actually help
When you call, you get somebody who knows the product and can change it. Customers talk to the people who build it, and the things they ask for show up in weeks rather than on a roadmap slide. That's the advantage of working with a company this size, and it's one we intend to keep as we grow.
